Day One

"Children are one third of our population and all of our future."

Today was a mildly mellow day, I spent my entire day with the love of my life(aka my son). While I was bringing dinner to my son, out of the blue he walked right to me. It was the first actual time that he managed to walk by himself. I couldn't have been more proud of him. Of course right after he walked to me he plopped down on his rear end, and as usual he refuses to do it again while other people are watching.

For the first time since I've had him, I realized that my little boy is growing up, and just thinking about that made me sad. I'm aware that he's only 16 months old and that he's got more than enough years of childhood, but this means that he is one step closer to being his own person and soon enough he will no longer need me.

In other news, I decided to make barbecue ribs and garlic mashed potatoes. Which happened to come out quite nicely. Other than that nothing exciting has happened other than the fact that tomorrow I have a dentist appointment which is really only an exam. Tomorrow I find out what's going on, and what all I'll need to have done. I know for sure my wisdom teeth will need to be pulled, otherwise I am in the dark.

Wish me good luck for tomorrow.
